Veritas Academy is an accredited independent school in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina. We were founded on a simple conviction: that a good school is a small one — small enough that every student is known, and serious enough that they are truly challenged.
Our story
Built small, on purpose
We set out to build a school that does a few things and does them well: teach students to read carefully, write plainly, and reason honestly. We kept the school small so that teaching could stay personal — so that a teacher knows what each student is working on, and a student knows they are seen.
That choice shapes everything that follows. Our classes are conversations, not lectures. Our teachers are mentors who follow their students across the year. And our graduates leave able to read a hard book, write a clear sentence, and hold a considered opinion — the foundations of a full life, not only a strong application.
A sense of place
In the foothills of the Blue Ridge
Our campus sits among the long, quiet ridges of western North Carolina. The setting shapes the school: unhurried, attentive, and close to the land. Students study where the air is clear and the seasons are real, and where a walk between classes is a walk through real weather.
